STOP! The Absolute EASIEST Way to Curate Content Like a Rock Star (GREAT For "Newbies")

Q: What is the best way to create new content for my blog, site or service? Does content curation work? Is it a short cut... or a viable, valuable and enduringly obvious way to create copious amounts of killer content... without having to write it all myself?

And is content curation ETHICAL... or is it a sneaky way to piggy back off of the hard work of others instead?

Sound familiar? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at the BEST way to try content curation for yourself... without any of the gimmicks, gadgets and gurus. (and 100% free to boot!) Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below!

Q: Is content curation really akin to stealing... or borrowing content without the blessing of others?

A: Good question. And the truth is, there is a whole RANGE and gamut of re-publishing practices that are in fact theft, and move way beyond the idea of curation (and well into the area of COPYING instead!)

That said -

Content curation is quite simply a fast, fun and FREE way to clip, snip, cull and collect the very best and most interesting information in YOUR niche, market or industry, and provide it on a silver plate for your readers to consume in one place.

For example -

I know a multi-million dollar annual earning real estate agent in NYC who hates to write... but understands the POWER of curating content in a smart strategic way. All he does is clip and snip stories from around the web on the RE market, and post them on his Facebook page every day. People look to his page as an "authority site" on what's moving and shaking in the real estate market... even though all he's REALLY doing is re-publishing stories from around the web, and using a dead simple platform (FB) to easily spread the word.

Do the folks whose content he's re-purposing care?

Of COURSE not. Why? Because people who want to read more than the headline or simple blurb are going to visit their site, meaning they get additional exposure and increased gravitas and cache in the marketplace as well, as the original source of the article.

The truth is, on my own blogs, brand and business... I've been using content curation for YEARS to give my audience what they want to know, without having to spend hours or days thinking up an original idea that someone else may already have said, better than I. (Or, alternatively... all I have to do is comment on what THEY said, and offer an alternative approach to MY audience, for the best of both worlds!)

Lastly, the EASIEST way to get started curating on your own?

Start a Tumblr blog. The whole platform is not only curation driven... it's the absolute fastest way to get REAL experience with re-publishing content that you LIKE, in a way that's 100% encouraged, endorsed and actually "baked into " the system. (As a matter of fact, the most popular Tumblogs are often 100% curated and user generated content... and it's fast, fun and FREE to start from scratch!)

In 2013 - more and more marketers are moving to Tumblr for the EXACT reason above, and I encourage you, especially if you DON'T like to write but know you need copious amounts of kick butt content to succeed, to start one yourself, THIS weekend as well!
