Set Up an Online Business

Are you looking for some easy ways to set up an online business?
Join the club, because thousands of people are trying to figure this out, but keep coming up with the same information. Everyone is so quick to say, "Build a website!" True as that may be, a website alone doesn't really do much for you. So, what is the answer? There are 4 important items that need to be added to your "to do" or "must get" list. I am going to share with you what they are, and how to use them so that you set up an online business in just a few hours!

Set Up an Online Business with a WordPress Blog or Site
The first thing you need to do to set up an online business is to register for a free WordPress blog or site. They can actually be one in the same, because you can self-host using WordPress. WordPress is SEO friendly, which is the key to climbing the ranks of the search engines. So it is that many businesses small and large have been converting to WordPress sites! SEO or search engine optimization is the key these days, so WordPress is kind to what experts call an SEO blueprint. It simply means that you are writing around a keyword or keyphrase that someone would be searching for in Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Learn this and master it because it's your business! I personally prefer using WordPress because you can even have some fun by changing themes, choosing from various templates, and using plug-ins to help you track certain things, or enhance your site. WordPress is a must have for anyone that wishes to have an online business!

Email Marketing is Critical to Set Up an Online Business
The second most important thing you can do is make sure that you are using email marketing and the right tools for it when you set up an online business. Your WordPress site should have a "Contact Us" page where people can put in their information to email you directly, or get access to your offer. Most online businesses also use what is known as a capture page or squeeze page where they may have a special listed for customers. This is a great way to build your email list too! You will need to use a service like Aweber, Constant Contact, MailChimp or any number of email marketing services that exist to help you manage that and run it on autopilot.

Auto Responders Can Make your Life Easier
You want to set up an auto responder so that when someone opts in or provides their information, they get a response without you stopping everything to do it one by one. It just makes good sense, and it's important to stay in touch with your customers, and use email marketing to continue to market more offers. If they buy from you once, they are more likely to buy from you again!

Analytics, The Most Important Part
Last but not least, you need to use analytics from Google, or if you have another tool then use it. You need to know where most of your traffic is coming from. If you blog, then use Google analytics to find out if you are getting leads from your blog. If you have another website, then use it to find out if you are getting leads from your other website. I hope that this was helpful in giving you more ideas on what you can do to get started with your online business.
